Let's turn back the clock to about the halfway point of 2013.

I had announced that the HTC One X was my favorite smartphone of 2013... so far.

While the HTC One X didn't remain as my top new smartphone for all of 2013 (The Motorola Moto X edged it out), HTC has done it again at the mid way point of 2014 with the HTC One M8.

What a great phone and it gives something to just about every type of smartphone user I come across.

Start out with the cosmetics. It's a great looking phone. The black design with Champagne-colored highlights really sets the tone. It's also an eco-friendly offering. It's platinum certified by the UL Environment and its materials have a minimal environmental impact.

The 5" display is bright, responsive and rich. I wouldn't expect anything less from HTC. The camera is easy to operate and takes great panorama shots and more. UFocus brings everything into focus with just one touch. The camera also takes great night shots; the shots a typical smartphone camera can't deliver.

Ok, enough about all the normal, but exceptional features you get in this HTC One M8.

This is the Harman Kardon edition.

That means Clari-Fi and Dynamic playback and a cool pair of all-metal HTC One M8 Harman/Kardon edition earbuds with all the sound you want inside.

I'm talking about bold sound that you don't get in any other smartphone as Clari-Fi takes your old MP3 file and adds a studio sound.

If you are a music lover and are going to buy and activate an HTC One M8 Harman Kardon Edition, you can do so on a Sprint Family Plan and you will be eligible for six months of free Spotify service (Premium). You can also choose to bundle the big sound of a Harman Kardon Onyx Studio Speaker for just $99.99.

The HTC One M8 Harman Kardon fits good in your hand, sounds good in your ears and will be your trusted companion as we keep relying more and more on our mobile devices.

Goto or your nearest Sprint retail store and check one out for yourself. It may be your new favorite phone.
