Sprint free App for hearing impaired phone use

Sprint is offering a neat free app for the hearing impaired to use their mobile phones more flexibly.

Wireless CapTel® by Sprint® is a free app available for individuals with hearing loss and understandable speech to place calls CapTel services on select Android™ powered devices running OS 2.2 or higher.

Using the existing CapTel services for land lines and advanced voice recognition technology, CapTel delivers captions of everything the person at the other end says, while you listen (with your residual hearing) and speak directly to your caller.

You can also type in text that will be spoken to the person at the other end.

Available only in USA and US territories. International calls will either be blocked or terminated. Registration is required to use this app, and charges may apply depending on your data plan.  More information is available at www.sprint800.com/wireless.
