Springsteen tour starts up again Down Under

Bruce is back on the road again, a thought that delights fans worldwide even if he is a world away. It's just nice to know out there somewhere, every few nights (or mornings depending where you are), Bruce is singing his heart out with his band of brothers by his side.

Tomorrow, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will open the Australian leg of his Wrecking Ball tour with a content in Brisbane. He'll do 10 shows over the next two weeks, hopping to Sydney, then Melbourne, and ending up in Macedon on Easter Sunday, March 31.

For fans in the U.S., the early Tramps will catch the show. If you figure on the lights going down in an Australian arena just around 8:20 p.m. as they usually seem to do, it will actually be 6:20 a.m. on the East Coast. Grabbing a cup of coffee instead of a beer or a glass of wine to cuddle up with the setlist Tweets or the streaming video will be a little weird. But it will be a welcome change of pace.

One note about the band: Steve Van Zandt is skipping this part of the tour to complete the filming of the second season of his Netflix series, "Lillehammer." Tom Morello will be sitting in for him on guitar and vocals for these dates.

So ladies and gentlemen, start your engines, let the wristbands fly, the pit numbers be greeted with shrieks of joy or groans of disappointment, the guessing about what rarity he'll play begin. It's Boss time again!
