Bruce Springsteen's 18th studio album "High Hopes" began to stream free online Sunday night, it was 41 years to the day that he released his first album.

Setting a new precedent, "High Hopes" is available for fans to listen to online beginning last night and continuing through Jan. 14 as part of a joint promotion for the CBS series "The Good Wife" and the album which is officially released next Tuesday, Jan. 14.

On Jan. 5, 1973, Springsteen's first studio album, "Greetings from Asbury Park," was released. Back in that day, an album was only released on vinyl and was promoted only through music magazine reviews and airplay on radio stations.
