The Texas Legends made a big defect go way in a span of eight minutes, but they still could not pull off the win.
A furious fourth quarter rally wasn't enough, and the Legends lost their second straight game to the Armor in Springfield.
Alondo Tucker had another great performance since joining the starting lineup with 26 points. Jerry Smith led the Armor with 28 and was one of for Springfield players with at least 15.
Springlfeild jumped to an 8-0 lead and led 31-21 after the first period. Then they kept building it up. They led by as many as 15 in the second quarter to lead 56-43 at halftime. The Armor's lead went as high as 19 in the third.
Springfield led 92-73 seconds into the fourth before the Legends really started their rally. A 19-2 run cut the lead to two with just over six minutes remaining, getting key shots from Booker Woodfox, Anthony Vereen and others. Tucker then tied the game with less than 4 1/2 to go.
But Tucker did not score again in the game. Meanwhile, Jeff Foote put the Armor back in front with a free throw and slam dunk, and Jameson Curry followed with seven points to put Springfield up 106-100. Dennis Horner's Horner's three-point shot with eight seconds left put the game away.
