Spring Wine & Jazz Fest returns to Golden Nugget

The three-day Spring Wine & Jazz Fest is coming back to the Golden Nugget, running between March 26 and 28, and if you act fast, you can save $36 on the ticket price.

The festival features poolside receptions, wine tastings, barrel and bottle samplings, cuisine pairings and an auction, all highlighting more than 250 wines from around the West Coast.

The entire event is $235 but guests who book early pay $199. Each separate event also can be purchased for full price on the day of.

The March 26 champagne and wine reception will be at the pool and The Tank shark aquarium. Individual tickets are $35.

The grand tasting on March 27 will let guests sample wine from more than 50 wineries, including 200 wines from California, Oregon and Washington. That evening will showcase library selections and current releases. Individual tickets are $100.

Sunday will be a champagne brunch featuring pairings with Domaine Chandon, Roederer Estates and Domaine Carneros. The live auction will follow. Individual tickets are $100.

Throughout all of the events, guests will enjoy the vintages alongside live jazz performances.

In addition are four other events. Chef and winery owner Pat Kuleto will oversee a five-course wine dinner with tickets for $200, including gratuity, on March 26.

Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse will host two blind, five-bottle tastings on March 27 open to guests. Tickets are $50. That same day will see a 10-bottle Oregon vs. California pinot noir showdown. Cost is $50 per person.

Guest moderators include master sommeliers Guy Stout and Larry O'Brien, winemaker Glenn Hugo, and sommelier Justin Vann.
