Spring temps on the way for Maryland

After a chilly March and first week of April, it finally looks like the pattern is going to flip in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Jet Stream has been in a long wave trof position along the East Coast for several weeks now, but that trof axis will shift to the West next week. That means warmer temps for the Baltimore area! The average High this time of the year is in the low 60s, and we should at least be in that neighborhood for most of the week…and probably a little warmer at times. It’s not a simple forecast though. A surface front will be drifting back and forth across Maryland, and that means off and on chances for rain. We could also be in store for some big temperature changes from day to day, but we should at least stay above 60 for a while. Looks like we have finally turned the corner into Spring…enjoy!
