Spring snowstorm forces high school sports postponements

Winter would go away. Wednesday night's snowstorm has forced the postponement and rescheduling of a number of high school sporting events throughout the Twin Cities.

At Holy Angels, the baseball game against the Northfield Raiders was rescheduled for Tuesday, April 22 at 4:30 at Donaldson Park in Richfield. No rescheduled dates have been set for the boys tennis match at Chanhassen as well as the girls lacrosse game that will take place at the Carver County school. The girls softball game at Northfield is still on for Thursday.

Over in St. Louis Park, the girls softball game against Benilde-St. Margaret's has been rescheduled for the 22nd. Game time is 4:30 at Aquila Park. The baseball game against Columbia Heights at Dakota Field and the boys tennis match at Armstrong have not been rescheduled.

There's good news in the weather department for next week according to weather.com. The good news is that temperatures will be in the 60s Monday through Thursday. The bad news is that thundershowers and thunderstorms are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.

Will there be nice weather next week for high school sports fans to get outside without dressing in layers?
