The super cool local hidden gem resort Mt. Waterman will have 3 chairs open and ready for you this weekend. Mt. Waterman reported this morning they have a 2-4 foot base of fine spring snow for riding all the way down to the parking lot.
You’ve heard me talk about Mt. Waterman before. When us So Cal skiers have the opportunity to go and feast on the mountain there, we should. No lines, no attitudes, and good friendly people. Oh, and I also forgot to mention again that it has one the best and most challenging terrains in the area.
Hey, if you like to ski where there's history, they have that too. Mt. Waterman received the first chairlift in California in 1942. Interestingly enough, the first day the chairlift opened, the chair broke down and skiers had to jump off. Don't worry, all 3 chairs are fully functional this weekend - I promise no breakdowns!
Get up there this weekend anytime from 9AM – 4PM. The roads are clear! It’s time to switch out your goggles for the sunglasses. It’s time to get up to Mt. Waterman before this 2010/2011 ski season is over!
