North Texas should brace for very gusty winds along with spring-like warmth this weekend.
One of the reasons for the unseasonably warm temperatures will be a stiff south to southwesterly wind at 25 to 35 mph. Area lakes will be quite rough both Saturday and Sunday.
A nose of very warm air will push into the Metroplex as winds turn to the west ahead of a cold front Sunday; this may push highs into the low to mid 80s!
Cooler weather comes in behind the passing front, but this air mass looks to be quite mild compared to the arctic shot of this week. Highs will still be in the 60s to low 70s and overnight lows should remain well above freezing. There’s only a low rain chance over the weekend.
