The weather is getting warmer and the outdoors is calling us to take a break. This is such a beautiful time of year, all the plants are budding and new flowers are poking through the ground. Nature is renewing the animals who share our world, so we see baby birds and squirrels to name just two.
This is a good time of year to be outside and enjoying the time with our neighbors and maybe eating a meal outside. Somehow the food always tastes better when cooked outside and the fruit is so much sweeter when it comes from our garden; strawberries are coming in now.
All this is just so much fun, however we must remember for those of us, who have been inside all winter, it is very easy to become dehydrated. Please make sure that not only you but your care partner drinks plenty of water. There are many ways to get water in our system, but if we are eating outside the best may be just plain water, if that is not going to work, try fresh lemonade or frozen lemonade. Ice Tea is good if we drink water as well, tea (caffeinated) and coffee tend to dehydrate us, as does pop and fruit juice is good and of course fruit is also good for us, but nothing is quite like water. Try some Crystal Lite www.crystallite.com which is very tasty and is made with water in our own kitchen.
And ladies the more water you drink, the less wrinkles and aging you will see in your skin. Everyone should wear a hat, it may not seem like it, but the sun is already for not only sun burning but also it can dehydrate our skin.
