Spring is coming early with the 185th Philadelphia Flower Show March 1-9, 2014

With winter rearing its ugly head again this coming weekend with more predicted snow, there is a little hope to the idea of spring. Starting on Saturday March 1, 2014 the 185th annual PHS Philadelphia Flower Show begins. The show captures the spirit of artist of the past, such as da Vinci and Michelangelo.

The exhibit is held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center with ten acres of beautiful landscape and floral arrangements that will help you melt away the winter blues. Some highlights include The Butterfly experience and the chance to make your own floral designs, for a fee.

The Butterfly Experience cost $3 per person and allows you to enjoy the gentle wisp of butterflies as thousands of butterflies swirl around you. Tickets to enjoy the flower show cost $32 for adults at the door. Don’t forget to check out the daily schedule of the flower show so you can enjoy specialty exhibits and events, as the show runs from March 1 – 9, 2014 and there is a little something for everyone to enjoy in the wildest winter yet.
