Color can change a mood. Color is versatile. It can be used in a multiple ways to achieve innumerable effects. This spring colors from greyed tones to vibrant hues dominate fashion.
Dressing in monochromatic tones is the new way to play with color.

This spring blues, greens, and lavenders all have a touch of grey in them. The oranges, reds, and yellows go from muted to vibrant. Patterns of black and white abound. Pantone the go to company for color lists emerald, greyed jade, poppy red, and monaco blue as the most popular colors for women’s fashion this Spring.

Color blocking and edgy sportswear are two of the exciting trends for spring. One of the most interesting use of color blocking is a Mondrian-esque print in sherbet colors by Kate Spade. It combined sherbet block colors with blocks of black and white strips. It is dramatic and refreshing. The ultimate in edgy sportswear was Alexander Wang’s clothes that glow in the dark.

One of this seasons hottest trends and one of the most affordable is colorful, patterned, sexy legwear that includes bright opaques, shimmery sheers, textures and prints. They include, geometrics, graphic strips, stained glass effects, fishnets, and floral patterns. Colors include fluorescent shades of bright orange, yellow, lavender and raspberry.
