Interested in homesteading? Looking for a place to start? Want to meet like-minded folk? Then come to the Homesteading Fair this Saturday, March 15th, in Colorado Springs!
This event is FREE and will be all day at the Good Earth Garden Center 1330 North Walnut Street, Colorado Springs, CO. This is Colorado, so prepare for all kinds of weather. The event will be held indoors, but it is a greenhouse, so prepare for cold.
Starting at 9 am and going until 5 pm, events and demonstrations include:
Goat Milking - 9 am and 3:30 pm
Bee Keeping- 10 am and 2 pm
Canning - 9:30 am and 2 pm
Cob Presentation - 10:30 am and 3 pm
Backyard Rabbits Presentation - 11 am and 4 pm

Colorado Farm and Art Market- good folks to talk to if you have products you'd like to sell at future markets.
Revolutionmama Ranch will bring some of her rare antiquity breed chickens, and possibly have chicks for sale as well.
L'il Bit Farms will have soaps, lotions, lip balms and info about their upcoming eggs and meat chickens for sale.
Buckley' Homestead Supply will also be on hand to talk to you about their wide variety of homesteading supplies to make your own foods and canned goods, as well as other things.
Animals will be on hand, of course, and maybe even a few for the kids to pet!
