After a long winter, planning summer camp seems like a luxury! YMCA Camp Pendalouan in Montague, MI is hosting two Summer Camp Preview Days on Sunday, April 27 and Sunday, May 11.

Both Summer Camp Preview Days are free, open to the public and will go from 1pm to 4pm. Grand Rapids-area parents interested in learning more about Pendalouan first-hand or acquaiting their children can visit during the upcoming Summer Camp Preview Days. There will be opportunities to go on camp tours, learn about the camp schedule, and even try out camp activities like archery, canoeing, and the 50 ft. climbing wall. “Many campers and parents like to sample a bit of our activities and culture while deciding how to invest their summer. These events provide a wonderful opportunity for families to sit on a bunk, enjoy a camp cookie, engage in some traditional camp activities and sign up for overnight or day camp,” said Bruce Spoelman, Executive Director.

Bonus! Attendees will also be able to enter a drawing for $100 off their registration costs for Overnight Camp, Day Camp or any of Pendalouan’s Family Camps. Last year, many of Camp Pendalouan’s programs and sessions had waiting lists, so camp staff are encouraging families to sign up soon. “To guarantee a spot in the session of their choice, parents should definitely register their children sooner, rather than putting it off,” said Spoelman.

Pendalouan provides campers experiences that many other summer programs do not. Instead of spending their summers inside or inactive, Pendalouan campers utilize the outside to gain new experiences, develop essential social skills, and create lifelong friendships. A unique, natural setting keeps them moving and guarantees memorable camp adventures.
