Azadeh Couture is making big moves. They launched their 2014 Spring Collection and collaborated on a trendy women’s golf line with former Raiderette and avid golfer Wendy Wright in December. With little time to spare, they also moved into a new boutique overlooking Maiden Lane.
Designer Azadeh Riaz opened her waterfront home in Tiburon for the first of two Spring runway shows. The crowd was a select group of clientele including Neiman Marcus GM Alan Morrell and other ladies from San Francisco’s on the scene crowd. To satisfy their Peninsula following they also held a runway show at the Los Gatos boutique. In-between the two Spring presentations, they drew a crowd out to the Los Altos Golf & Country Club to see their sporty clothing collaboration. There were even a handful of men that came out on a game day to show support. For those who were in football withdrawal, an appearance from former 49er Jerry Rice more than made up for it.
If that wasn't enough to kick off 2014 Azadeh Couture opened the doors of their new spacious Maiden Lane home. Costumes from the San Francisco Ballet were displayed in the windows signifying the new season and guests were invited to celebrate at the cocktail reception. Riaz is excited to be attending the upcoming Ballet Opening Night Gala. In years past her obligations sourcing fabric and attending the Paris shows have conflicted with the timing. Chatter at the boutique reception was that Riaz's gown will be one to watch for. Deepa Pakianathan a guest of the grand opening is also attending the gala and will surely be in something eye catching as well.
