As Boston gets ready for the many traditional events associated with April - Easter, Passover, the Boston Marathon and more - a host of other events are in the offing as well as the season's weather appears to moderate, bringing a celebratory feeling after a long period of gloomy, rainy days!

Coming up on the immediate horizon is Lamb Jam which returns to the Hub this year on April 13, Sunday, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, sponsored by the American Lamb Board with Boston Chefs and Nestle Waters. The event brings 20 chefs from Boston, Providence, Portland and Portsmouth to celebrate lamb. Participating will be a dozen top New England breweries and Jonathan Edwards Winemakers. Lamb Jam gets underway with a VIP reception (2:30-3:30) with the main event taking place from 3 to 6.

VIP admission is $90 while general admission is $60 a head. To order tickets, go to http://boston.fansoflamb.com/lamb-jam-boston/
