This Saturday the place to be is All Things Woof for the Spring Fling Fundraiser benefiting Illinois Bird Dog Rescue.
All proceeds from clients taking advantage of the self serve bath service at All Things Woof will go to the Illinois Bird Dog Rescue.
Illinois Bird Dog Rescue has saved 21 dogs and puppies just this year. They have been able to adopt out 12 of the rescued dogs. It doesn't matter to them if the dogs are young or old, perfectly healthy or have special needs. It is all about saving the lives of the dogs and thereby enriching the lives of others at the same time.
Regardless of the condition they were rescued in, all dogs get tested for tick-borne diseases, such as Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. A new test being added is Babesia, a tick borne illness that may have been missed in the past. It is important to catch these diseases early and get treatment started right away.
This is only a part of what this fundraiser is for - making sure that all the rescued dogs get a fighting chance for a happy and healthy life.
