Spring Fling for Roger's Nature Center is Set for March 22, 2013

The Friends of Rogers Nature Center will once again be hosting its annual Spring Fling fundraiser on March 22, 2013 at the Colgate Inn in Hamilton from 7 to 10 pm.

The event will include a silent auction, music, appetizers, deserts and a special champagne toast. There will also be live music for the enjoyment of guests. The cost of the event is $40 and reservations are being taken until Friday, March 15th since there is a limited number of tickets.

The benefit yearly helps raise money for Rogers Nature Evironmental Education Center located off of Rte. 80 in the rolling hills of Chenango County near Sherburne. This nature center that was once a game farm, has welcomed the public since 1909 and was New York State’s first such facility.

The Friends of Rogers organization was formed to help raise funds as well as to integrate the experience with the community and today the site welcomes school classes from all over Central New York to learn about nature.
