Spring cleaning for good: Goodwill campaign encourages Donate Stuff-Create Jobs

See also

Spring is here, and it’s time to clear out and freshen up the house. Spring cleaning can have special meaning this year when households donate their unneeded items to Goodwill. In conjunction with the Ad Council, Goodwill has launched a campaign, “Donate Stuff-Create Jobs,” encouraging everyone to participate and declutter their homes while doing good through their donations to Goodwill.

Goodwill suggests making spring cleaning manageable by spreading out the clean-up over a week and focusing on a different area of the home on each day:

Day 1) Clear out closet clutter

Day 2) Time to tackle the kitchen

Day 3) Spread holiday cheer (holiday decorations, center pieces, Halloween)

Day 4) Downsize your tech toys (used laptops)

Day 5) Clean out your office supplies

Day 6) Provide quality entertainment (unused movies, video games)

Day 7) Downsize your bookshelf

Goodwill has conveinece locations with accessible hours for drop offs
