The calendar says its spring and the weather will follow suit in due time. While you still have some outdoor time either because of a chill in the air or rainy days, take some time to do some spring-cleaning of your overall fitness and diet routine. Here are some tips:
1. Diet plans are good, but remember that the right combination of diet is a diet PLUS an exercise plan. Combine the two to see great results and to feel healthier.
2. Speaking of an exercise plan, what is it? Cardio alone or only weights. To stay excited about your daily exercise routine, shake it up. If the gym is your usual place of exercise worship, then do at least 30 minutes of cardio and combine it with some weight lifting. You don’t have to lift large amounts of weight to get the benefit of muscle tone and the additional burn.
3. Rev up your diet by focusing on greens, less grains, and good proteins. As a non-meat eater, finding the right proteins is a big consideration, so I focus on whey protein. It’s the most effective for me. But I also have to be selective on what fruits and vegetables I eat as well. Some fruits have less of a glycemic affect as do others.
4. Finally, be smart about what you decide to focus on for the spring exercise and diet. Research articles online from experts. It will be easy to craft your own particular plan to stay fit and trim.
