Spring brings Vera Bradley to Water Tower Place

Handbag, luggage and accessory company Vera Bradley is opening a store March 11 on level five of Water Tower Place.

The store is 1,866 square feet and is Chicago's first Vera Bradley store.

"Each Vera Bradley store is unique, including Chicago’s Water Tower Place store," said co-founder and chief creative officer Barbara Bradley Baekgaard in a press release. "The décor is not only designed to reflect a little of the local flavor, but to make you feel comfortable…We’d like you to feel like you’ve just been welcomed into our home."

Vera Bradley was founded in 1982 by Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller. Today, there are 39 Vera Bradley stores and the product also is sold through 3,300 specialty stores. Water Tower Place has an eight-level atrium and features more than 100 stores.
