Everyone is gearing up to go on spring break. In a new spring break nightmare, a mass shooting happened in a Cancun hot spot while people were on vacation. On March 15, The Washington Times reported that the shooting killed six people and injured five.
The gunman went into The Mermaid Bar and started shooting in the pool area. At this time, they do not even know the motive of why this happened. Thousands of college students head to this area every year to enjoy spring break. The hospital where the victims are at is being guarded.
There was more than one gunman and most of the victims were members of the tax drivers’ union. This makes it sound like they were locals and not people on vacation, but many people are still headed there for spring break. There will be a lot of people in the area this week.
