Spring has sprung, and along with it comes the traditional 'Spring Break'. The kids get a break as well as many teachers in the area. School is usually out for a week, which can mean that sometimes the grandparents get the opportunity to spend time with the kids.
Visit the Bookloft at German Village. The building is one city block filled with books of interest for both children and adults. Just walking in the neighborhood with it's quaint appeal of brick walkways, flower gardens and a walk through the park at the end of the street.
Watching the kids expel lots of energy at Magic Mountain is always a fun filled day for the youngsters. There are two locations. Visit their website to see all the fun adventures they offer and their hours of operation.
Can't take the day to head out of the house, there are still lots of fun activities to enjoy together on the internet. One being the Your Zoo View compliments of Nationwide Insurance. It's a live webcam adventure with real-time, interactive tours of four of the animal habitats at the Columbus Zoo.
There's a website called Grandparents.com that offers a lot of interesting ideas for kid activities in and around our great Columbus city. Give a visit and plan some activities.
Life is so fun when you're enjoying the company of a grandchild. Pack some snacks, the camera, sunscreen, and head out and make some fun-filled 'spring break' memories.
