Catalina Foothills Art Festival features fine art, live music and delectable festival foods
TUCSON, Ariz. (Feb. 20, 2013) - In the midst of the spring events season, foothills residents will find beauty and inspiration in the form of an outdoor fine art event. The Catalina Foothills Art Festival will present the public with an opportunity to browse and purchase the works of acclaimed local and national artists. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 2 and Sunday, Mar. 3. The works presented represent a variety of mediums including paintings, jewelry, sculpture, woodworks, and more. All artists participating in the festival were hand selected after submitting to a juried application process.
In addition to the handmade arts and crafts for sale, festival visitors will enjoy ambient live music performances. Performers at the event including guitarists and vocalists, Diane Davis and Mark Garris as well as flutist, Rick Gnerich.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to refuel after shopping by enjoying some of the many
culinary treats available at the event. Whether it's a lite snack or a hearty meal, local food vendors will be on hand to satisfy even the biggest of appetites.
This marks the third time the show is being held at Catalina Foothills High School.
