Spring, a New Beginning

Spring is just around the corner, a favorite time of the year for many people. When we think of spring, the vision of newness comes to mind. Spring represents a fresh beginning. It brings forth an unmarked life.

The season gives the earth a fresh start. Flowers peek out and reach for the sun, trees put on buds and leaves for the coming event of warmer weather. Plants and animals all see this season as a chance to move forward into the unused time within the year, and the wonder of renewed life.

Changing from the cold hash winter to the mild climate creates an opportunity for growth. One can’t think of spring and its offer of beginnings without thinking about God.

The Lord is the reason for the transformed life, not only in spring, but anytime of the year. When one seeks out a relationship with Jesus Christ, they begin anew. The individual grows, shining a one-of-a-kind light that comes from the joy that God plants in each of us.

2 Corinthians 5:17(KJV) “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

As the approach of a different season brings thoughts of change, carry those ideas into a purpose. The new season pushes ahead with a determined ambition to seek out the Lord’s presence. Just as spring will bring forth trees that bear sweet-tasting berries, God’s children need to show the fruits of the spirit and present the world a picture of what a Christian should be.

This season as change takes place and adds life to the world, let all the followers of Jesus Christ shine their fruit and leave no mistaking in their paths that they are a child of God’s. Above all, have love for one another, praying for the short comings of our neighbors, understanding without malice that we all were sinners at some point in our lives.

Galatians 5:22-23(KJV) 22. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,”

23 “Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
