The American Idol Top 10 finalists were in the Los Angeles area during their tour. Examiner.Com was able to get a few words with all 10 idols. Here is what Megan Joy had to say.
EXAMINER: How did your family feel about your career choice?
JOY: I have a beautiful amazing family that would have supported me no matter what I was doing. They just cheer me on.
EXAMINER: Which music or artists inspires you?
JOY: Bjork, Lauryn Hill. I like all kinds of music. I love hip hop and every thing.
EXAMINER: If you could do a duet with any one person who would it be?
JOY: Bjork.
EXAMINER: How are you adjusting to being on a tour bus and being away from home?
JOY: I am adjusting. I am just trying to stay healthy, stay good within my relationships back at home, stay strong, happy enjoying the fans and others idols and having a good time.
EXAMINER: What are your plans after the tour is over?
JOY: I plan to make some albums, I want to make some children music, alternative jazz, pop. We will see what I can work in and do some acting and modeling as well.
EXAMINER: That will be good for you. Do you think you will stay in Utah?
JOY: Utah will always be my home base. I will get a place here in Los Angeles, hopefully New York and go back and forth in between.
EXAMINER: Do you have anything that you would like to say to your fans?
JOY: About Idol?
EXAMINER: No, just in general.
JOY: Don't listen to the haters. They are negative, jealous and will try to bring you down. Ignore them and just be your self.
