It’s not too early to make plans for an upcoming weekend of phenomenal events that are scheduled for downtown Phoenix. There’s lots going on, and the sports and entertainment venues will be bustling with some of the biggest performances of the season. So, make plans to attend some of the summer’s popular events – and be sure to leave yourself enough time to enjoy a happy hour or dinner at one of the downtown’s great trendy restaurants.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are playing the Cincinnati Reds at Chase Field this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There will also be a spectacular fireworks display after Friday’s game. The Arizona Rattlers are hosting the San Jose Sabercats for a great arena football game at the US Airways Center on Saturday at 6:30 pm. The Symphony Hall is the venue where the Phoenix Symphony and the Phoenix Theater are coming together to present one of the nation’s favorite Broadway musicals of all time, My Fair Lady. Les Miserables, the tale of unjust imprisonment during a revolutionary era in France, has been extended through Sunday, June 1st, at the Phoenix Theater. Ticket prices are $40 to $100 and can be found here. The recognizable melodies of “On My Own” and, “I Dreamed a Dream” make this a must-see production!
