The 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover will be revealed on Late Show with David Letterman on Monday, February 13, 2012. The 2012 Swimsuit cover model will visit Letterman on the following night, which happens to be Valentine's Day, February 14, 2012, according to a February 9 press announcement from CBS.

Ten of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models will present Letterman's Top Ten Live on the Monday night broadcast, followed by the reveal of this year's cover model and a first look at the SI cover. This is the fifth consecutive year that the cover model has been revealed on the Late Show with David Letterman.
After the cover unveiling on Monday's Late Show, this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model will set hearts on fire in the Valentine's Day episode for an interview with Letterman.
Irina Shayk was the cover model for 2011. Attached is a slideshow of pictures of Shayk, and the other Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models, at various functions representing Sports Illustrated.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition is a staple of American pop culture. Sports Illustrated has a total audience of more than 70 million adults. The 2012 cover model will join an exclusive sorority of fashion icons, including previous Swimsuit cover models Heidi Klum, Cheryl Tiegs, Kathy Ireland, Christie Brinkley and Tyra Banks, among others. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2012 will be available on February 14 with magazine, tablet and mobile editions.
