A Spongebob headstone was recently removed from a cemetery and the family is really upset about this news. On Oct. 22, Yahoo reported that this headstone was for Kimberly Walker who died at the age of 28. The cemetery decided that it was inappropriate and had it taken down.
It was at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati and was just put up on Oct. 10. Kimberly died approx. eight months ago, but they just now got up the headstone. It was a 7 ft. headstone and the family had permission from the cemetery before putting it up. One day after it was put up, they got the call saying it had to come down.
Her twin sister is still alive, but they had already put up a headstone for her that was Spongebob as well and both were taken down. The cemetery said headstones like this "aren't appropriate for our historic cemetery". They do plan to pay the family back for them and also pay for new ones since they made a mistake approving them. Do you think they should have let the Spongebob headstones stay up?
