Spoken word is an art form much like music and dance that has the ability to entertain, educate and inspire. It also can be utilized as a powerful tool for ministry. On Friday, May 27, 2011, spoken word artist, poet and writer, Sheri Booker hosts an event called Unplugged held at the Life Center of Empowerment Temple (Dr. Jamal H. Bryant – Senior Pastor) that will feature a live band, vocalists, food and of course, spoken word and poetry. The event will be the first of what is anticipated to become a monthly event.

Many Christians in Baltimore and surrounding areas may have been searching for something positive like this to attend and hopefully many of you will support this and upcoming functions like this one designed with you in mind.

Booker invites all of the Baltimore Christian Living Examiner readers to come out to support the event and enjoy an evening filled with live entertainment and wholesome fellowship.

The event will take place at the Family Life Center located at 1505 Eutaw Place in Baltimore from 8pm – 11pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 or at the door for $15. For more details please contact Sheri at booker.sheri@gmail.com.

If you're unable to make it out to the May 27 function, stay tuned and we'll keep you informed of the next Unplugged coming your way.
