Spoilers: 'Nashville' returns to Nashville's Channel 2 on Weds. Jan 9 (Video)

"Nashville" returns on Wednesday, January 9 on ABC. Episodes 1 - 8 have developed the back stories of the main cast members, and Episode 8 ended with Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) saying she would consider touring with Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). If you want to know what's coming up in Episode 9, here are some sneak peaks.

In Episode 9, Rayna Jaymes will congratulate Juliette Barnes on her engagement and then tell her she wants the tour to start on Sunday. Juliette says, "You're kidding," and asks Rayna why she even wants the tour, adding "You hate me." Rayna states, "I only hate sunburns and hangovers; this is just business."

Juliette tries to dig her little claws in, asking Rayna if everything is OK at home and commenting on Teddy Conrad's (Eric Close) campaign problems and scandals. Rayna can hold her own and replies that Juliette should know all about scandals, adding "You need me right now every bit as much as I might need you. You in?"

More previews show a somber Juliette in a wedding dress and shots of Juliette and Rayna performing together. It looks like the tour is on!

Chip Esten who plays Deacon Claybourne on the show has a preview showing his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. "I joke around a lot but there isn't much funny I can say about this...this is an extreme honor." He then ad libs the Buck Owens country music classic "Act Naturally:"

"Well, I hope you come and see me on the TV,

Wednesday nights on ABC!"

Filled with drama and a fairly honest look at Nashville's country music industry, "Nashville" also offers songs and the occasional hymn written by Christian singer-songwriters as well as music production by T-Bone Burnett. Catch "Nashville" Wednesday nights on Channel 2/ABC at 9 pm starting Jan. 9.
