Some fans of ABC's “The Bachelorette 2014” feel that the network just spoiled the ending of the season Monday afternoon. Did they just confirm what Reality Steve has been saying about Andi Dorfman's final pick all along? The show uploaded the text of the mysterious letter on Facebook a few hours before the show, and it definitely reveals some key “The Bachelorette” spoilers. What tidbits seem to tell the tale regarding Andi's final rose?
Fans already saw at the end of the “Men Tell All” episode that host Chris Harrison gave Andi a letter, and he said it was from one of her final two guys. That means that either Josh Murray or Nick Viall wrote the note. Now, the full letter is on Facebook for all to read, and it does seem legitimate. The writer of the letter isn't revealed, but many would say there are some pretty obvious tells.
The writer notes that he knows he would be the road less traveled if Andi were to have picked him, and he wishes she had thought with her heart rather than her head on their last night together. She says that he believes their passion, connection and intensity also brought forth some fear and discomfort for her. He also mentions a moment at the monastery and a walk in Belgium. It is clear that the letter was written after she told him he was not her final pick.
All season, it has been a theme that Josh Murray is Andi's typical kind of guy, while Nick Viall is not a guy she would normally date. In other words, Nick is the road less traveled and the guy who would be the less predictable pick. Chris Harrison has even made this very comparison in some of his previous comments on this season. In addition, the hints about Belgium and the monastery definitely pinpoint Nick over Josh in terms of what Andi has done on previous dates.
The writer also seems to tell Andi that the door is still open to give things a shot with him should she change her mind. The question is, of course, just when is this letter written? Is it long after the final rose ceremony, or is it somehow before she gets engaged? “The Bachelorette” spoilers do seem to be adding up that Andi may well let Nick, if Reality Steve's details are right, go before the final rose ceremony. Fans will be interested to see just how and when this letter comes into play in the big finale.
Reality Steve tweeted that he questions why the show would release the text of the letter ahead of the finale. Perhaps the show didn't realize how much readers would pick up on the details that the writer was Nick. Perhaps there is a big shocker ahead and the show is stringing fans along, setting everybody up for a stunner with spoilers that were wrong for the season. Many will probably speculate that the letter is an indication that Andi Dorfman dumps Josh Murray and picks Nick Viall at the “After the Final Rose” special.
Will there be any big shockers in Monday's finale? The show certainly wants to make people believe that, but not everybody is convinced. Tune in to ABC's “The Bachelorette 2014” finale airing on Monday, July 28 to see the big goodbye, the final rose ceremony, and discover how the letter factors into it all.
