Splash Party Movie Nights at Deep Eddy are affordable fun

Looking for a way to stay cool and have some family-friendly fun without breaking the bank? The City of Austin has you covered. Every Saturday night, throughout the summer, the city’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts Splash Party Movie Nights at Deep Eddy Pool.

Splash Party Movie Nights combines two great, summer activities: swimming in the cool, spring-fed Deep Eddy Pool and watching movies. For the regular pool entrance fee, swimmers enjoy both the pool and a free movie. The regular pool admission fee is $3 for adults, $2 for kids aged 12-17, and $1 for children under 11 and seniors. There is no fee for parking at Deep Eddy.

All movies begin at dusk. The upcoming movie schedule is:

July 17 – Grease (PG)
July 24 – Where the Wild Things Are (PG)
July 31 – Star Trek (PG-13)
August 7 – Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (PG)
August 14 – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (PG)
