As I was reading articles and online resources to find in depth information about Spiritual Wellness I ran across a short quiz.
Are you engaged in the process of spiritual wellness?
Evaluate your own spiritual wellness with this brief quiz.
* Do I make time for relaxation in my day?
* Do I make time for meditation and/or prayer?
* Do my values guide my decisions and actions?
* Am I accepting of the views of others?
I answered "no" to one question, #1, and the results said that this is the area that I need to focus on improving when it comes to enhancing my Spiritual Wellness. It is very important to make a point of relaxation sometime throughout the day, and not just on a stressful day, but everyday! Typically, if my day is going chaotic I'll make a point to relax, but usually by that point I find it is too late, and I'm already frazzled beyond the point of return. We want to make sure that relaxation plays a part in our daily routine.
Pinpoint things that you find relaxing and soothing to the mind, body, and soul; whatever that activity is, make time in your day to do it. Good points of the day to relax are midday and at the end of the day. Midday during the lunch hour, if you can, get away from the chaos of the office. Instead of eating lunch with Chatty Cathy or Negative Nancy, spend that precious hour alone. Finding a perfect peace is very uplifting to our Spiritual Wellness. At the end of they day is another optimum time to relax. End your day with a candlelit bubble bath and soft music. Always make time to relax, even if it's only 10 minutes of peace, that's better than none.
