Spirits on Bourbon serves $11.99 steak

Spirits at 615 Bourbon Street has a Monday night special locals cannot miss: a 16 oz. steak for $11.99. The steak, cooked to order, comes with a potato skin with cheese and a slice of garlic toast. Such a low price may make some people nervous that it must be poor quality meat but this steak is good quality beef.

This bar is the home of the Resurrection, a purple drink one can buy in a commemorative cup. At the entrance, the Shot Chair stands ready for customers to take a shot (and a picture) of Edward's Barber Chair.

The story goes that the original owner, a barber, allowed people to drink their beer while getting their hair clipped. Now, the spirit of Edward haunts the venue under its recent incarnation since Bar Rescue of Spike TV arrived and made necessary changes to breathe life into the bar and grill.
