As many times as I have been over to the shopping center in Wakefield, NC, I had yet to visit this place. Spinner's Grill is located at: 14460-183 New Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27614, 919.453-1100. Today was the day we decided to give Spinner's Grill a try.
It is a fairly large establishment. It looked larger from the inside than it did form outside. When we stepped inside, a truly sweet lady greeted us and led us over to our booth. After we got seated, I was pleased to learn that she would be our server as well.
We placed our order for drinks and she brought them over to us very quickly. I explained to her that this was our first time visiting and she took her time to explain to us the specials for the day. After mulling over the menu for several minutes, we were finally ready to place our order. I ordered a hot turkey sandwich on rye bread, my husband ordered the BLT and our son ordered the children's cheese quesadilla. We all got French fries with our order.
When our food came out, I was happy to see that the French fries were my favorite! They were crinkle cut fries. You know, the ones that soak up all the ketchup? That made me smile.
In addition, included with the children's meal was ice cream. Our son got to choose from a cookie or ice cream for his dessert. When he chose ice cream, our server handed us a list of the ice cream flavors they had to offer. It was so long, she stepped away for a minute to allow us to take our time in deciding on a flavor. The flavors ranged from the basics: vanilla, chocolate and strawberry to the elaborate: cotton candy, birthday cake and bubble gum. Our choice...Cotton candy in a sugar cone! I have to say, it had a very smooth flavor. Sometimes the more elaborate flavored ice creams tend to knock you off your feet with intense flavor. However, this one did not.
The food was good. The service was great and our server made our trip worth while. So, when you go in to grab a quick bite to eat or an ice cream dessert, be sure to ask for Jasmine! She will take great care of you and your family!
