Clemson standout running back C.J. Spiller and Greenwood product Armanti Edwards head a list of senior players from the state who have been invited to participate in the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine Feb. 24-March 2 in Indianapolis.

The list of players also includes Clemson outside linebacker Kavell Conner, wide receiver Jacoby Ford and defensive end Ricky Sapp. South Carolina outside linebacker Eric Norwood and safety Darian Stewart also received invitations as did Citadel wide receiver Andre Roberts.

Spiller was a Heisman Trophy hopeful for most of the season and is expected to be a first-round pick in April's NFL Draft.

Edwards, a dual-threat quarterback from Appalachian State, is also projected as an early-round pick.

Prince Miller, a Byrnes High School product and senior defensive back at Georgia, was not on the initial list of senior invitees. Other senior and junior invitees will be announced at a later date.
