Steven Spielberg is the overwhelming favorite of movie fans to be named Best Director, Blockbuster reported on Feb.22

Spielberg is favored his direction of “Lincoln,” and epic look at President Abraham Lincoln and those around him.

Daniel Day-Lewis is the overwhelming favorite for best actor, boasting 67 percent support for his portrayal of Lincoln.

Ann Hathaway runs away with movie fans for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, with 66 percent hoping she will win for her portrayal of Fantine in “Les Miserables.”

Fans participating in the poll are more divided in other categories.

“Lincoln” has the support of 21 percent for Best Picture. The closest rival is “Les Miserables” with 12 percent.

Jennifer Lawrence has a large plurality for Best Actress for her portrayal of Tiffany in “Silver Linings Playbook.” She has a 47-29 percent lead over Jessica Chastain, who is nominated for her portrayal of Maya in “Zero Dark Thirty.”

Tommy Lee Jones has a slight 33-30 percent over Christopher Waltz for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Jones is nominated for his portrayal of Thaddeus Stevens in “Lincoln.” Waltz is nominated for his portrayal of Dr. King Schultz in “Django Unchained.”
