The clear tie-in to “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” release to theaters Friday is available to purchase from the Xbox Store for $2.99 and comes with more than 35 skins. How does it get to that many just for one character? By loading up on alternate Spider-Man costume skins and villain skins as well.

There are no less than ten different Spider-Man skins including the classic look, Black suit, Future Foundation suit, Miles Morales suit, 2099 suit, Big Time suit, Superior Spider-Man suit, Iron Spider suit and two Scarlet Spider suits to represent the old and classic versions. There are other good guys too though including Aunt May, Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson and the not so good J. Jonah Jameson.

The villain side is loaded too with the really bad guys like Venom, Carnage, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Hammerhead, Kingpin, Kraven, Lizard, Menace, Mister Negative, Mysterio, Rhino, Sandman, Scorpion and Shocker. There’s also the not so bad Black Cat, Silver Sable and Morbius.

This will mark the second Marvel themed pack to hit “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition”. The Avengers Skin Pack was released to the game last December which featured Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and assorted villains.

There’s no word on when the Marvel Spider-Man Skin Pack will be released to “Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition”. Of course, the Avengers Skin Pack hasn’t been released to that version of the game either.

Meanwhile, “Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition”, “PS Vita Edition” and “Xbox One Edition” are still in development at 4J Studios. With the release of Patch 1.05 and TU15, the studio has now turned its attention to coding and preparing for release to those platforms.

No release date has been officially announced yet but Mojang’s Owen hill did confirm that the new versions of the game should be out sometime between now and the end of September. He also confirmed that cross-save compatibility and cross-buy, including DLC, is in the works as well.
