Part two of the “Amazing Spider-Man” movie will be entirely shot on location in the state of New York and the big city, and very likely to bring in jobs and money into the Empire State.
New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the production of the popular superhero movie will create thousands of jobs and will cast 11,000 extras.
“The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” will be physically shot both upstate and downstate in New York. Rochester, Bethpage, Brooklyn and certainly parts of Manhattan will be in the upcoming sequel.
“There is no better place to film the next adventure of Peter Parker than right here in the Empire State,” Governor Cuomo said.
New York City and New York State has been a grand staple in the film industry when filming superhero motion pictures. Many superhero films like Superman, The Avengers and The Fantastic Four either took place in parts of New York City, or actually filmed in ‘The Big Apple.’
“New York has the resources, talent and locations to help make, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ a blockbuster hit,” Cuomo added.
Gary Martin, the Production of Administration President of Columbia Tri-Star Motion Picture group also stated, “from Rochester to Manhattan, this is the first time an entire Spider-Man production will be shot in The Empire State.”
This highly-anticipated movie and production will help boost the economy in the state, especially in the hotel, food and administration industry as well as local businesses and jobs for many people.
The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, as well as Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper and Martin Sheen is expected to film for a total of about 150 days, and will debut in U.S theaters, May 2014.
