Spider-Man Is Fired!!!

In April, Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos will have Spider-Man fired from the Avengers…or are they going to be coming after him? After looking at the progression of Spidey lately, is the whole Doc Ock body swap a means to return the web-slinger to his loner status? Prior to his supposed death, Pete was enjoying success as both Parker and Spidey which goes against how he’s traditionally depicted so perhaps Octavius will hit rock bottom just in time for the real Peter Parker to return. Either way, the story is keeping readers going, but at the same time, why ruin a good thing for the wall-crawler? (Most people who have been huge fans of Peter Parker’s recent success are probably happy he’s finally on top. He has a good job at Horizon and he’s a member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes so why mess that up? I’m sure Dan Slott has something up his sleeve but I have to say, I’m not happy about the way Spidey is being shunned. Then again, it could be a way for the heroes to figure out he’s not Parker anymore so for now, readers will just have to sit through the drama that is now Octavius’ life.
