Well, if anyone was looking forward to Sam Raimi or Toby McGuire to continue to be featured names in Marvel'sSpider-man series, I'm sorry to disappoint. It seems that Marvel and Sony Pictures have decided to give Spider-man 4 a complete over haul. The new film is to be based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on Peter Parker in high school would debut in the summer of 2012 with a new cast and crew.
This redo may appear to be too quick from the original trilogy's releases - but only netting 1.15 billion dollars nationwide from domestic box office sales, it seems needed in order to capture the audiences attention. All three films had meager reviews and declining sales - the only worry is that this new series will be released too closly to dodge the previous bad rap.
The original Spider-Man 4 release date seemed unlikely last week when Paramount Pictures announced that Thor, another well anticipated Marvel superhero film, had announced the same May 6, 2011 release date as the fourth Spider-man. So it seems that for the Spidey fans in the world, they will have to wait until sometime 2012 before any real action will hit the screen.
