The holidays are a good time to try festive recipes. Spicy Punch has a holiday flavor with the combination of tea, wine, brandy and cinnamon.
2 1/2 cups hot China tea
2 1/2 cups red wine
1/4 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 lemon, sliced
1/3 cup brandy
Heat tea and wine in a saucepan to just below boiling point. Add sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves and lemon. Cover pan and let stand for 5 minutes to infuse. Stir in brandy. Serve in heat-proof glasses.
Makes 10 servings.
