Now that the summer is officially over, it’s time to celebrate, Irish style, with a Kilbeggan.
If you have never tried Kilbeggan, you are in for a nice treat. The distinctive flavor comes from the finest grain and malt whiskeys blended together for a smooth, sweet taste and delicious malt finish.
Whether you choose to sip it on the rocks or added to your favorite cocktail, the choice is up to you, but we prefer it in the form of a flavorful Autumn Elixir which will heat up any chilly fall night.
Here’s the recipe so you can try it at home:
Kilbeggan Autumn Elixir
Recipe by Anna Walsh, of the Long Island Cocktail Bar in Cork, Ireland.
- 1 1/2 Parts Kilbeggan® Irish whiskey
- 1/2 Part Yellow Chartreuse
- 1/2 Part Lemon Juice
- 3/4 Part Honey Syrup (2 parts honey, 1 part water)
- 3 Blackberries
Method: Muddle blackberries with honey syrup in a shaker base. Add the rest of the ingredients and ice, shake and double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with lemon zest and blackberries.
