The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary has dedicated itself to the rescue and care of big cats. They provide sanctuary to big cats confiscated by the state for illegal ownership, abuse and other forms of maltreatment. The Ranch also runs an endangered species breeding program. Their mission statement reads;
"The mission of Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary is to provide a safe environment to many of the great cat species that are endangered or threatened due to loss of natural habitat. Our primary focus is in the rescue of cats from serious situations. Once an animal is taken in at Catty Shack, they have a home for life.
