Reality TV star Spencer Pratt is desperately trying to lose weight after gaining 50 pounds eating lots of pie, Us reported.
The once-athletic 6-foot-tall Pratt now sports a rounder face and a small belly, thanks to his self-professed addiction to baked goods.
Pratt, 30, is working out regularly with his fitness trainer, and said exercise is helping him control his bad temper and wild emotional mood swings.
Spencer, who's married to his former "Hills" co-star Heidi Montag, said it's very hard being an ex-TV villain, because people constantly insult him in public and even try to pick physical fights with him.
Because of his negative public image, Pratt is worried that if he had kids, they might be bullied. "I wouldn't want to be Spencer Pratt's kid," he said. "I'd have a kid if there was no Google or YouTube."
Spencer also discussed wife Heidi's extreme plastic-surgery makeover, saying Montag's mom hated her daughter's post-surgery appearance. "That was like a knife in my heart," said Heidi.
Pratt said "The Hills" story lines were made up and rehearsed before being filmed. "We shot like 14 or 15 takes of that from different angles, and then she got back in my car, and we drove off," he revealed of one scene where he kicked Montag out of his car.
Spencer is trying to move on with his life after suffering financial problems. In 2010, Pratt and Montag revealed they had blown through $10 million by living an over-the-top lifestyle. The couple is now broke, and Pratt is trying to complete his political science degree at the University of Southern California.
Looking back on his wild ride through fame and fortune, Pratt insists he's not the jerk he was made out to be on TV. "I don't think we've ever gotten to be the real Heidi and Spencer on TV," he said.
