Here is Spencer Animal Control's policy on cats and kittens:
We adopt out cats and sometimes kittens. We also take in Spencer’s homeless cats. We spend a lot of time with our cats so we can give the adopter a lot of information on their behavior and medical history. Adult cats and Kittens are $90.00 All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, are up-to-date on their shots, Leukemia tested, have been wormed and are Advantaged.
And a special note about dogs: "We sometimes place dogs and will assist in the placement of dogs."
Donations are always wanted, and here is Spencer's statement on that, along with their wish list!
"We are a town no-kill facility. We adopt out cats and kittens and sometimes dogs.
We are always in need of donations such as: money, sheets, towels, toys, cat and dog food, pet beds, leashes and collars, food bowls, cages, paper towels, litter and most of all people to help us care for the sick, injured and unwanted animals we have. We need volunteers willing to run a sick animal to the vet’s office, to home foster, or to just come and visit and play with the cats or walk a dog. We also need a handyman from time to time."
Just one more reason this reporter is proud to live in Spencer!
