It is again time for the Spelman College drama and dance department to put on the excellent performance they always do for their annual Spring Concert. This show will represent young ladies and young men who want to inspire others by demonstrating positive interaction through dance. The dance piece "Enduring Truth" is choreographed by Meredith Moore, a graduate student of New York University, Tish School of Dance. Meredith keeps her performances close to her soul. After naming the performance "Enduring Truth", she was asked why was this name chosen. 'Enduring truth exemplies the struggles of daily life, relationships, and the battle within. With God's unchanging love and mercy, he sustains us through all obstacles and challenges. My work always has a theme related to God's love and why his way is always true. "Enduring Truth" exhibits the excitement of reaching the top of a mountain, and examining the privilege of looking out at God's very best.'
Spelman College is unprecedented when it comes to creating a style of difference for young women and men in this genre. The college combines a department for drama and dance that offers a total curriculum to develop each individuals choice. After completing courses in acting and dance technique, directing, production, playwriting and choreography, these ladies and men will be able to demonstrate their craft extensively and go on to graduate study or proceed to professional work in these two genres.
