Spelman College Glee Club brings their talent to Detroit

This Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 6 p.m. Detroit, MI will be given an aural treat. The Spelman College Glee Club will be in the city performing at the Charles Wright Museum inside of the General Motors Theater. For more than half a century the Spelman Glee Club has been in existence. The more than 20 young women who make up the glee club always grace their audience adorned in pearls and flowing black gowns. They sing in an operatic tone paying homage to the “breath of our ancestors” or caroling with their Morehouse brothers during Christmas.

If you’ve never experienced the rich and electrifying voices of the women of Spelman College, you and your family must come out Sunday evening for a night you will not forget. Admission to this event is free.
